How to Setup Android and iOS for Google Workspace

Setup Google Workspace and Gmail on Mobile Devices

Did you recently migrate to Google Workspace? Want to know how you can utilise Google Workspace apps on your mobile devices? You’ve come to the right place. Learn how to set up and use your Google Workspace apps on tablets and mobile devices running on Android or iOS.

We, at Onsite Helper, encourage utilising Google’s free native mobile applications from the App Store or Google Play for the best experience.

How can I configure my phone to access my Google Workspace apps?

You may sync your Gmail with your Google Workspace account (formerly known as “G Suite,” “Google Apps for Business,” and “Google Apps for My Domain”) as well as, optionally, your calendar and contacts by doing the following:

Set up Google Workspace on Android

  • Navigate to the Settings app on your device.
  • Find the “@” icon for email under “Applications” and click it.
  • Use the Gmail app or choose “Other” from the list of options.
  • For Gmail: make sure to use your full email address, such as [email protected], when entering your Google Workspace username and password.
  • Optional: you can choose to allow or prohibit email from accessing your contacts: it’s optional
  • Optional: screen overlay permissions
  • When finished, the message “account sign-in successful” should appear.
  • Select the services you want to sync to your smartphone.
